  • Open your internet browser and type the URL: crsorgi.gov.in
  • Move your cursor till it reaches the left side of the pane

  • Click on the General Public Sign Up link to register yourself
  • After you register, a signup box will show up in the browser. Fill all the valid details which include your user name, contact number, user ID, birthplace and your village or town from where you belong
  • If the field of registration unit is active and shows the name, this depicts that your area supports online registration for a birth certificate
  • Input the code of verification and click on the register option
  • After the completion of the registration process, you would be prompted to check your email to confirm the registration process
  • Open your mail and check the inbox. It would redirect you to generate a new login password. Generate it.
  • After signing in again with the newly generated password, you have to fill up a form
  • The birth certificate apply online form requires the details of the baby, location, and full details of the parents. Subsequently, you can opt to submit the way after a day.  
  • Download the soft copy print it
  • You have to visit the office of the registrar in your locality in person
  • Ensure that the form gets attested by the sub-registrar or the registrar

  • Letter from the hospital which validates that the child is born in their hospital
  • An affidavit that should be signed by the office of SDM
  • A copy of the ration card
  • A valid ID proof of any of the parents
  • Documents that validates the residential address of the parents
