In entrepreneurship, there is this informal basic rule: You cannot do it all alone. Maybe during the initial stage you can, and you can do up and until so much. In the first few items of your to-do-list, one item is to officially incorporate a company. When incorporating a company, is it better to leave it to the expert to do it on behalf of you? Or should you go ahead and incorporate on your own through the use of an easy-to-use and reliable company registration platform?
Start networking.
In the real business world, often people would ask how an entrepreneur go from nothing to something? The journey seems to start with just an idea, some determination, and some visions. But the important strategy is to “network”. Networking is a complicated system of connections that people are bridged. When there are people, there are capital for finance.
Now you should network, but where would you start? The best answer to start where you came from or where you are. When you learn from examples of some successful entrepreneurs, they usually would start with relationships where they already have in place. One challenge to networking is everyone next to you had the wrong believes – They think it is about making cold calls to total strangers i.e. Tele-marketing? But it is not. It is actually like this: It is people who already have strong trust among them in the first place. You are just to enhance the relationships.
No sales pitch, please.
A misconception is many people would believe networking is only for salespeople. But it is definitely not. Networking is about communication and building trust between the two parties who communicate. During the communication sessions, it does not require delivering sales pitch. Actually the mistake is being too aggressive and too early with sales pitch, and that is how you drive people away from building a beautiful partnership.
Even an introvert needs to communicate.
Another misconception is people think introvert cannot network and should not network at all. The main reason is for introvert people, they do not feel natural and they have fear when communicating with other strangers. They do not want to run into awkward situations. But the truth is that it takes time to practice. The more often you interact and communicate, the better you will get.
Conversation, connection and collaboration
We live in a world full of people and technologies (that consist of social media and instant messaging), we are required to communicate even more. Everyone should learn to adapt to the world with the three C’s of networking i.e. Conversation, connection and collaboration.
